Lori Nunnery

With more than 8 years in the non-profit industry in progressively responsible strategic positions, preceded by almost 15 years in the tourism and hospitality fields in significant positions, Nunnery has served as the leader for the Jackson, Tennessee Convention and Visitors Bureau for the past 2 ½ years.  She continues to complete significant coursework in professional tourism training and certification.

Prior to her arrival at the CVB, Nunnery oversaw project management for Jackson Downtown Development Corporation (JDDC) a Tennessee Main Street Program.  Under her leadership the Shannon Street MusicFest experienced tremendous growth and was recognized by the Southeast Tourism Society as a Top 20 event for two consecutive years.

Commended in performance reviews for dedication, results oriented, and exceeding financial goals, Nunnery has been recognized for her outstanding performance with Cracker Barrel Restaurants and Hyatt.

Since joining the Jackson CVB, Nunnery has developed a successful Regional Tourism Conference to further strengthen the rural tourism product by partnering with 13 organizations and welcomed over 100 participants to Jackson to learn from national tourism expert Judy Randall.  Additionally, she was able to facilitate the re-formation of the local Hospitality association.  Currently work is underway for the upcoming community brand roll-out involving multiple private-public partnerships.

Originally from Lancaster, Ohio, Nunnery is a graduate of Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky.  Nunnery married and relocated to Tennessee in 1999 and now resides with her husband Chad and two daughters in Medina, Tennessee.
