Welcome to the Tennessee Tourism Committee and thank you for showing interest in moving our state’s lucrative tourism industry forward. This website is designed to serve as a tool to the industry to communicate the committee’s strategy, proposed recommendations, and more importantly, hear from the Tennessee tourism community as we continue to move forward – it is essential that the committee receives feedback on its progress and thank you for your continued interest and role in promoting this great state to our welcomed guests.
The mission of the committee is to assist the state and industry to make Tennessee one of the top 10 U.S. destinations in terms of total travel expenditures that will enhance the state’s economic vitality through job creation, increased tax revenues and new investments. Based on the most recent figures, entering into the top 10 states will add an additional four to five billion dollars of visitor spending in Tennessee that will generate significant growth in jobs and tax revenue for the Volunteer State.
At the 2013 Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Franklin, TN in September, the committee presented its 10-year strategic plan for achieving our industry’s mission and realizing its vision. Please visit the research page to request a copy of the plan. If there are any parts of the plan that you wish to contribute or comment on, please do not hesitate to contact us – we want to hear from you to ensure that our industry is aligned and moving forward together.
